THE HAIR EDUCATION EDIT

Know your hair.
Know your possibilities.

A beautiful result starts with understanding what is being added, how it is selected, and what your own hair can comfortably support.

01 / START WITH YOUR OWN HAIR

Fine and thin
aren’t the same thing.

Fine describes the diameter of an individual strand. Low density describes having fewer strands across an area of the scalp. You can have fine hair with a lot of density—or thicker individual strands with less density.

That distinction matters. Tanya considers both the strands themselves and the amount of natural hair available when discussing weight, placement and coverage. More extensions are not automatically the better answer.

02 / THE MATERIAL MATTERS

Real hair.
A personal match.

Bondoura uses real human hair. The selection considers colour, texture, strand thickness, length and density together, so the finished hair feels visually at home with yours.

Tanya reviews the exact batch with trusted European suppliers by video call. Hair is pre-washed and pre-tested before it is chosen for your set. The aim is to understand the material before it becomes your extensions.

Ask beyond the label.

“European,” “Russian” or “Slavic” on its own does not tell you everything about a bundle. Ask about the actual hair, its processing, how it was assessed and why it suits you.

03 / SMALL DETAILS. INDIVIDUAL DECISIONS.

The work is
in the preparation.

Individual bonded extensions add small sections of extension hair to sections of natural hair. The amount added, size of the bond, placement and natural hair available all matter to the plan.

At Bondoura, Tanya handcrafts lightweight bonds around your natural density. At least four hours of preparation happen before an installation appointment of around seven hours.

Small bonds are not a guarantee that extensions suit every head of hair. The consultation is where your history, current condition, goals and care routine come together.

04 / A LITTLE PERSPECTIVE

A long history.
An evolving craft.

Long before today

Hair as personal expression.

Adding hair is not a new idea. The British Museum’s ancient Egyptian collection includes a wig made with human hair. That is historical hairwork—not evidence that today’s bonding methods existed then.

Modern Europe

Decades of development.

Modern salon systems have their own histories. Great Lengths, for example, dates its founding in Rome to 1992 and describes its pre-bonded extension system. This illustrates the industry’s development; it is not a claim about Bondoura’s supplier.

Training informs the work.

Tanya completed Russian training in person. Her approach brings that training together with individual sourcing and preparation for fine hair. The meaningful question is how that knowledge is applied to your own hair.

05 / THE EVERYDAY PART

Beautiful hair.
Thoughtful care.

Your consultation should include a realistic care and maintenance conversation. Discuss brushing, washing, drying, styling, swimming and wearing your hair up—and ask when to return for a professional check and removal.

Tell Tanya about recent colour services, previous extension experiences, breakage, sensitivity or changes in density. An inspiration image is a starting point for a discussion, not a guarantee of the same result.

TAKE THESE INTO YOUR CONSULTATION

Five questions worth asking.

  1. What can my natural hair reasonably support?
  2. Why is this hair a good match for my colour, texture and density?
  3. What will my complete quote include?
  4. What care, follow-up and removal will I need?
  5. What result is realistic for me?

Bondoura’s custom hair and installation typically range from $1,400 to over $2,000 CAD. Your personal plan begins with a conversation.

Clarity looks good on you.
